Blue Earth Compost
Samuel King is an experienced sustainability entrepreneur and advocate in the fields of waste, energy, and climate change. He is a co-owner of Blue Earth Compost in Hartford, CT, where he works in various roles relating to the growth and management of the business. As an advocate, Mr. King has been involved as a community organizer in fighting fossil fuel projects locally and nationally. Mr. King's work now centers around finding solutions for a transition to a sustainable waste infrastructure in CT. Sam is a 2014 graduate of UMass Amherst with a BA. Sc. in Sustainable Community Development.
Jonathan Humphrey
Natural Dividends
Jonathan Humphrey is a Co-founder, avid hiker, & environmental advocate. He is president and chair of the board at Natural Dividends, an environmental non-profit based in Connecticut. Natural Dividends is a community-facing organization focused on leading sustainability events and clean-ups. Providing sustainable solutions to businesses, organizations, municipalities, and individuals. We are engaged in building a strong and diverse community spreading awareness on environmental issues, and spotlighting organizations making change.
Kirsten Martin
University of Saint Joseph
Kirsten Martin is an environmental scientist specializing in aquatic systems and dragonflies. She is very active in a wide variety of community engagement projects including the Scantic River Water Monitoring Project, the National Park Service Dragonfly Mercury Project, the USJ Grasslands Project and USJ Pollinator Garden, and BioBlitz events. Kirsten works with students of all ages on community-based environmental monitoring projects. She is the chair of the USJ Women LEAD in STEAM group and is the Program Director for the Environmental Science Program at the University of Saint Joseph.

Ally Gelinas is the Program Coordinator for the Green Jobs Workforce Development and Urban Farming Programs at KNOX! They teach, support participants as they achieve their goals, set up workshops, events and recruit.
